Both have so much in common, so which one is better? To be honest, it depends on what you look for in a leave in conditioner.

If you feel more inclined to use raw products, then using raw shea butter could work out well for you. People tend to use raw shea butter to seal in moisture but depending on your hair type, it could work as a moisturizer.

Hairveda's Whipped Crème would be great for those looking for everyday moisture for their hair. It's lighter than raw shea butter and moisturizes very well.
I have used raw shea butter one week and Hairveda the next week. My hair loves them both, it's just that Hairveda is easier to apply.

It's also worth noting that no matter which one you choose, your money would be going towards a Black business. Hairveda was started by a Black woman. You can buy your shea butter from a local vendor (I get mine from a small African shop).

Review:
This product works best as a leave-in conditioner rather than a detangler. It leaves the hair nice and soft. It works well especially as a moisturizer to put on your hair before getting your it braided or twisted.

The consistency is pretty thick so a little goes a long way. I tend to use a little for daily use and use a bit more if I'm braiding or twisting my hair up for a while.

The reviews for this product are positive with the exception of some who said it was too heavy for their hair. Some people dilute it in a spray bottle for light moisture, so that's definitely an option for fine-haired people.

Bottom Line:

Overall great moisturizer. Definitely worth it. Fine-haired people may need to dilute it.
